The NT Police has closed its investigation into allegations Darwin Mayor Peter Styles was involved in the production and distribution of fraudulent how-to-vote cards at last August’s local government election, with no charges laid against Mr Styles or any of his political associates.

The investigation was launched last August, after mayoral candidate and former councillor Amye Un and fellow mayoral candidate Vicki Bonson alleged their preferences were altered on unauthorised how-to-vote cards that were distributed to at least two early polling centres during early voting at last August’s civic election.
