Police catch three teens for alleged unlawful entry, one treated in hospital after dog bite

NT Police have said they caught three teenagers who allegedly unlawfully entered a Wanguri house in the early hours of Saturday morning, with one of the alleged offenders being treated in hospital after being bitten by a police dog.

Police media manager Rob Cross said in a statement that just before 2:30am the house occupant disturbed a number of intruders inside the property.

He said police officers with dogs caught three youths, with a 16 and 17-year-old, later released by police, and expected to be summonsed to court.

A 15-year-old boy was treated at Royal Darwin Hospital, after a dog bit him during the arrest, Mr Cross said.

He said they are still looking for other alleged offenders.
