Does anyone want to know about 250 Territory Housing Houses being given to wet-behind-the-ears, poorly paid NGO groups that have no experience in managing Public Housing Tennants?
From the :”Northern Territory Community Housing Growth Strategy 2022-32″
“To pilot the process for large scale transfers in the NT, the NT
Government will release two packages of around 250 public
housing dwellings under a longterm lease arrangement to a
CHP in Year 1 of the Investment Pipeline. ”
You will hear about it a lot AFTER the election!
Correction: Thats 2 packages of 250 houses EACH.
This government ‘gave’ a house to the Darwin RSL after the fire burnt the RSL to the ground. It was supposed to be used by homeless veterans but the RSL could not find any so they used the government house for RSL staff rent free. A family could have lived in the house but it was given away by this inept incompetent government to an organisation that did not need it. No wonder there is a housing crisis.
