Mining firm OM Manganese has been fined $487,500 by the Darwin Local Court after being convicted for breaching the Work Health and Safety Act resulting in the death of a mine worker at its Bootu Creek mine site near Tennant Creek four years ago.

The worker, 59-year-old Craig Butler, was killed after a wall collapsed at the mine site on August 24, 2019.
