UPDATED: An NT Police officer fired three shots at a Mazda ute that was being driven towards him and a police vehicle at considerable speed in Alice Springs overnight, a video released by police shows, with 10 charges now laid against the 38-year-old driver.
Police said in a statement that several units were responding to disturbances on Todd Street around 10:30pm Wednesday night, when the blue Mazda BT-50 ute was driven at speed at the officer and the parked police vehicle that contained another officer, while the officer who fired the shots was standing on the road and then moved to the footpath.
These cops will be put through the wringer just like the ridiculous death in custody cases.
