NT Work Safe investigated St John Ambulance NT for alleged treatment failures following the 2021 death of a patient in its care, but found no breaches of workplace health and safety laws and has closed the matter, saying anyone with additional information that could substantiate a breach should contact the authority.

The NT Independent reported in June last year that the NT Police Major Crime Squad was investigating the death on behalf of the coroner, including allegations the patient’s records were altered to cover up treatment failures.
