A 16-year-old boy has been charged over a rollover involving an allegedly stolen vehicle in Katherine that killed a teenager and injured several others almost two months ago, NT Police said.
Police director of communications Mark Wilton said the boy was arrested on July 24 following the crash on June 2, when the allegedly stolen vehicle, carrying seven teenagers, rolled over about 6am.
One 16-year-old passenger sustained critical injuries and, despite the efforts of paramedics, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Wilton said the boy was arrested and taken to Katherine Watch House, where he was charged with causing death through motor vehicle operation and careless driving resulting in death.

The boy was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
