Roughly 2,000 public servants are still in a state of uncertainty after the NT Government continues to stall on approving the funds for their backpay despite an agreement having been settled with the workers, the union representing the workers says.
The Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) said the government continues to ignore calls by public servants from the government’s hospital, prisons, social workers and other front-line departments to address the underpayment despite a solution being agreed by both parties more than a month ago.
