The Lawler Labor Government will not make any official changes to rules around the use of taxpayer money for campaign purposes ahead of August’s election, in the aftermath of an ICAC report that showed the party used public funds at the 2020 election for political purposes, with the Opposition calling the surprise deferral “more of the same tricks” by a government that “lacks transparency”.
ICAC Michael Riches released his investigation report last month into Labor’s misuse of taxpayer money during the election, in which he made no adverse findings – or any findings at all – despite evidence former chief minister Michael Gunner and his staff used public funds to fly themselves to remote communities in marginal electorates on polling days in violation of caretaker rules.

Evil Lawless at the helm is no better than the last two light lingered, self serving imbeciles ….🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮
The Evil Liar has shown no respect for the residents of the NT. A no result report does not make it go away or validate clear misuse of government funds. Any self respecting political leader would refund the money. The same should apply to politicians that conspired to misappropriate government funds for personal holidays.
