WIN Network has moved to acquire Nine Entertainment’s Darwin television station, heralded by WIN as expanding its presence into the Northern Territory through the “vibrant” Darwin market.

WIN said the acquisition would mean the continuation of Nine’s national content in the Darwin area, with the deal coming just over a year after Nine axed its Darwin nightly news bulletin and sacked staff.
