The estimated cost of the proposed National Aboriginal Art Gallery in Alice Springs has increased three-fold since its 2017 announcement, new figures show, while the Territory’s acknowledged contribution has also increased by almost 40 per cent since last March.
The figures were included in the concept designs for the gallery that were released by National Reference Group co-chair Franchesca Cubillo and Arts Culture and Heritage Minister Chansey Paech on Friday, when they unveiled the designs for the gallery by BVN Architecture and local architects Susan Dugdale & Associates.
Meanwhile residents of Cox Peninsula suffer multiple cancellations of Ferry services due to bad weather and jetty damage caused by rough seas.
