A 16-year-old male and two females, aged 15 and 21, have been arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery and an assault at a home that occurred in Nightcliff on Friday morning, NT Police said.

The incidents come as the CLP Government claimed an increase police presence in the community following the stabbing death of Linford Feick last month.

Police received multiple calls about a disturbance involving several individuals at a service station on Progress Drive around 10:40am.

It was reported that a group of youths attempted to steal items from the store, during which one of them threw cans and bottles at an employee, while another punched the worker. The group fled the scene before police arrived.

Shortly thereafter, the same youths were involved in a violent altercation at a nearby residence on Progress Drive. They allegedly broke into a home in the area and threatened the residents before being ejected.

However, they returned later and assaulted the same individuals, punching, kicking and threatening them with a metal bar. Among the victims was a government worker, police said.

Officers from the Territory Safety Division, along with the general duties and Dog Operations teams, arrived at the scene and apprehended both youths, as well as another female who was reported to be carrying a knife and implicated in the incident at the residential location.

A 16-year-old male has been charged with several serious offences, including aggravated robbery, assault of a worker resulting in harm, being armed with an offensive weapon, aggravated assault, and aggravated burglary in a dwelling.

A 15-year-old female also faces multiple charges, including aggravated robbery, assault of a worker, assault of a worker with resulting harm, and escape from lawful custody.

Additionally, a 21-year-old female has been charged with damage to property and possession, carrying, or use of an illegal weapon.

The two youths were ordered to appear in court today, while the 21-year-old woman has been granted bail to appear at the Darwin Local Court on May 27.
