An estimated 100 Charles Darwin University students in the electrotechnology program have not been properly trained, Education and Training Minister Jo Hersey revealed in Parliament Thursday afternoon, which follows CDU’s TAFE carpentry training scandal earlier this year that saw hundreds forced to redo their qualifications.
Ms Hersey said she was briefed by CDU on Thursday about the newest group of students affected by the university’s continued mistakes and training failures, adding that she has told the university she expects “whoever is responsible for this failure…to be held to account”.
