  1. NTG Jo Townsend & Trier were both CEO’s under ALP CM Gunner, FYLES & Lawler & cohort, just like DIPL CEO & DWC Board member Andrew Kirkman (wife Susan) no-one in NTG senior executive level is held to account, whilst non-executives are thrown under the bus for questioning decisions?

  2. For heaven sake go and pester Useless Luke he has plenty of time to deal with you.

  3. ‘Ms Townsend was not asked at Estimates how the matter went from a recommendation of a prosecution or potential prosecution to a minister to another department deciding that the company had done nothing wrong and dropping the matter.’

~When cronyism and cover up collide you get corruption.

~If Territorians continue voting in the C/ALP then we will continue to get this kind of behaviour and decision making.

~ALP did it for the previous 8 years, CLP will continue doing it for the next 3 because neither of them know how to behave properly and won’t set up procedures or environments which would teach them how to.

  4. So what legislation says a Tax payer funded CEO can decide which media questions they respond to?

  5. @Footrot: there isn’t any legislation that would require any CEO to answer media questions. It’s a matter of organisational culture/expected behaviour and whether or not you respect your voting public.

That everyday behaviour, including things like being transparent with the electorate and/or media, is dictated by the Leader/Boss/Person running the show.

If a Chief Minister truly valued transparency then they could easily develop an organisational or political culture in which all media enquiries were answered honestly, using a simple employment direction to all staff under them, including Ministers and without fear, as there would be nothing to hide. Or leading by example.

A Chief Minister who doesn’t value transparency gives us the CLP Crappy Littleminded Party we have now, with the leadershit we have now.

@Professor Boofby: to save you the burden of screaming “but Labor did it first, that’s not fair”, we count the ALP Anaemic Lazy Party in the same criticism.

You want this political system to Change? You have to vote a new Party in.

Neither the CLP or the ALP will make any of this better; to the contrary, it is both of them who keep and maintain it to be the mess it is.
