A 29-year-old man has been arrested after an alleged crime spree from Katherine to Humpty Doo ended with a dramatic police chase through bushland in the rural area that was set on fire as he fled a second stolen car with dogs being called in to finally locate him, NT Police said.

Police had called for the public’s assistance to locate a white Toyota Hilux they said was being driven by a man who robbed a Katherine service station while wearing a balaclava who lit it on fire on Tuesday afternoon.
