A man was stabbed with a broken bottle in Darwin city on Thursday night, with NT Police arresting another man for the attack, the media have reported.
NT Police have not issued a public statement about the alleged crime, and have a long standing policy of refusing to provide the NT Independent with any information, however Mix 104.9 reported the man was stabbed in his chest about 11pm outside the ANZ bank on the corner of Smith and Peel streets, and staff at Shenannigans bar on the corner of Mitchell and Peel streets waved down police who were driving past.
Another man was arrested at an undisclosed time, the station reported, and said the man was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital in a critical condition.
