A man was treated in Alice Springs Hospital for head and chest injuries after being kicked and punched and assaulted with a blunt weapon, while trying to stop his attacker from damaging his car, NT Police said.
Police director of communications Mark Wilton said in a statement a 32-year man has been arrested, accused of committing an aggravated robbery at the Alice Springs business yesterday.
The Judiciary should throw the book at this scumbag. But we know they won’t, he will get bail. The case will take months to come to court. The prosecution and defence will negotiate and downgrade the charges because they are overloaded with work. And the cycle will continue.
In the mean time a 69 year old man has to deal with the trauma, physical and mental, from the assault.
