A man has died at the scene of his motorbike crash at Bees Creek overnight, NT Police has said.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brendan Lindner in a statement said a man, believed to be in his 50s, was involved in a single vehicle crash on the Stuart Hwy, near Gulnare Rd, shortly before 7pm.

He said emergency services responded but the man died at the scene.

““Detectives interviewed a witness to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing to confirm the identity of the deceased rider and determine the cause of the crash,” he said.

The road was reopened earlier this morning.
