A 34-year-old man was killed in a buggy crash near Nhulunbuy Thursday night, with another man airlifted to Gove Hospital with serious injuries, NT Police said.
Police were notified of the crash shortly after 11pm, when a personal location device was activated approximately 100km south of Gove.
It is understood the two men had rolled their buggy with the 34-year-old critically injured and the other, a 35-year-old man, suffering unknown injuries, police said.
Careflight was deployed to the location of the crash, however the 34-year-old man was declared deceased at the scene.
The 35-year-old man was taken to Gove Hospital for treatment. Police did not disclose his condition as of Friday morning.
“A crime scene has been declared,” police said in a statement.
