A 39-year-old Palmerston man was arrested on Friday following a raid of his home and is currently facing multiple charges related to child abuse material offences, NT Police said.
Detectives from the Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team (JACET) executed a search warrant on a Palmerston residence, where officers seized three electronic devices that allegedly contained child abuse material.
The man was arrested and later charged with four counts of possession or control of child abuse material and two counts of accessing child abuse material.
He was remanded and scheduled to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
Police did not say how they became aware of the man’s activities or if it was in any way connected to other cases in the greater Darwin region that have recently been exposed.
