A man threatened service station staff with an unspecified edged weapon multiple times in an armed robbery in Tennant Creek, NT Police said.

NT Police director of communications Mark Wilton said in a statement that about 10:20pm Friday a 29-year-old man went into the Paterson St service station multiple times with an unspecified edged weapon, and allegedly threatened staff, and stole various unspecified items on each occasion.

He said the man was arrested by police at an unspecified time and unspecified place.

The man has been charged with aggravated robbery and other unspecified offences, and was remainded in custody to appear in the Tennant Creek Local Court today.
