A man was arrested at the Alice Springs Hospital for allegedly assaulting his partner, leaving her wandering the streets at night with cuts to her face and head, NT Police said.

Police director of communications Mark Wilton said in a statement that about 7:30pm Thursday police were flagged down by a woman on Todd Street suffering cuts to her face and head.
