A 43-year-old man with alleged drug issues and his female teen accomplice have been arrested in connection to a series of break-ins in Pinelands and Berrimah this month.
NT Police allege the duo is responsible for stealing a significant amount of property including a Toyota Landcruiser after they allegedly unlawfully entered two businesses in Pinelands and Berrimah on the mornings of January 3 and January 4.
In a Facebook post on Daily Crime Updates: Darwin, a user had posted images of the vehicle stolen on January 3 in Pinelands, a 2012 white Toyota Landcruiser Workmate, including CCTV images of the alleged offenders.
More recently, on January 17 at around 4am, the two offenders allegedly unlawfully broke into and stole from a business in Berrimah again.
NT police said they conducted further investigations and found the two offenders were also linked to a vehicle stolen from Winnellie dating back to October 23, 2020.
Police did not mention if the vehicles stolen by the offenders had been recovered or returned to the owners.
The 43-year-old male and 19-year-old female have both been charged with three counts of stealing and unlawful entry of a building, two counts of aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle, and three counts of damage to property.
The man meanwhile tested positive for drugs and has been additionally charged with driving under the influence.
They have been taken into custody and are scheduled to appear in Darwin Local Court on Wednesday.
