Three men allegedly broke into an Alice Springs home through a smashed window on Tuesday morning before one threatened a female resident with a weapon and the trio stole money and alcohol, NT Police have said.

Senior Sergeant Janice Kershaw said in a statement that about 12.15am Tuesday, the three men allegedly broke into the Gap Rd house via a smashed window. She was not specific about whether the men allegedly smashed the window.

“One of the males allegedly threatened a female resident with an edged weapon before stealing a quantity of money and alcohol from the property. The group have then fled the scene,” she said.

Snr Sgt Kershaw said police are looking for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage to call them on 131 444, or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
