The Finocchiaro CLP Government has inexplicably chosen “canapes over cost-of-living relief” for Territorians in last week’s budget, critics say, after directing an additional $1 million to controversial Administrator David Connolly’s office and a further $2 million it didn’t have last year to Protocol NT – the body that organises official government functions and special invite-only events.
The inflated figures were disclosed in the Department of Chief Minister and Cabinet budget papers, which shows the government upped a budgeted $3.1 million for what was listed as “support to the Administrator” to $4.1 million this year, with the figure raised to $4.2 million next financial year.

Would you not think, in light of the crushing Clueless Gunner Labor Debt, the current cost of living crisis, that a fiscally prudent CLP Government would CUT some expenditure to pay down debt?
