CLP Leader Lia Finocchiaro has defeated a no confidence motion in her leadership brought forward by disgruntled branches of the party at the weekend’s central council, the party’s president has said.
Rumblings of discontent in Ms Finocchiaro’s leadership were first reported by the NT Independent in April after powerful branches, including the Alice Springs and Litchfield branches which hold a large amount of party votes between them, started circulating the no confidence motion.

So thats Labour in for another 5 years !!!
Ms Finocchiaro also lost three straight by-elections against a sitting government, which is unheard of in politics. Those by-election losses followed the loss at the Johnston by-election and the 2020 general election, marking five straight defeats under her leadership.
Can the last remaining CLP member please turn the lights off on the way out?
