Dear Editor,
Last week a sign was posted outside the sewerage facility at Coolalinga stating that the plant had broken down causing a sewage overflow.
As any overflow will empty into the east branch of the Howard River that raises a number of questions.
Is there any health risk to fishers catching fish in the creek? Young fishers are often seen fishing from culverts at Barker, Hiller and Hicks roads.
Who is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Coolalinga facility?
How long will it be out of action?
When will Coolalinga be upgraded to a proper sewerage infrastructure system as promised during the reign of King Gyles and Prince Daave?
Answers please NT Government.
