I don’t quite know what’s been happening re the appointment of a new Administrator but I’m sure I heard the Chief Minister say the new bloke would be Billy Connolly.
I think the media might have been putting out fake news when they said David Connolly.
By appointing Billy, the Chief Minister has shown real leadership, after all Billy is part of the commonwealth, as we are in the Northern Territory.
He has visited the Territory on his Harley Davidson, so he knows where we live, and is loved by NT Harley riders.
Billy would fit in with our multicultural Territory being from Scotland, and our Aboriginal community as he is bilingual. He speaks Scottish and English.
The comedian could bring some much-needed humour to the place although he may have to remove words that rhyme with chook and start with ‘f’ from his repertoire.
He is known to like running around starkers so he would fit in with the rural community.
Billy wouldn’t upset anyone as he said the only ones you can legally upset these days are straight white males, so I’m happy to be upset.
He has written books – some about his travels to the Territory – so the arty people would welcome him.
And finally, although he now lives a quieter life and has some ailments that come with aging, his appointment would make him a natural fit with our older mature Territorians.
I think the Chief Minister has made the right choice because Billy will make a great Administrator.

Agree Gerry. The Chief Minister has certainly become very confused and nominated the wrong bloke! I think she may have made similar mistakes on other occasions!
