“That’s our government,” she said.
Perfect. Thanks Dummy. What an amazing phrase to advertise the new political Party organising in the background right now to secure your Party’s downfall.
CLP Marie-Clare Boothby says:
“That’s our government” when asked about nepotism all throughout the Government you now run. “That’s our government” when asked about not investigating the DWC fake jobs scandal for the Chief Minister’s husband. “That’s our government” when asked about increasing NT debt by more than $3 Billion. “That’s our government” when asked about criminalising 10 year old kids. “That’s our government” when asked about ignoring Police officers who committed a criminal offence by lying in sworn statements. “That’s our government” when asked about neutering ICAC by appointing Greg Shamahan. “That’s our government” when asked about overcrowding prisons with no real idea of what to do with prisoners. “That’s our government” when asked about improving education with a hair dresser in charge. “That’s our government” when asked about having an Attorney General with no legal training, oh wait, Selena Uibo was the same (add “and the ALP government”) “That’s our government” when asked about not supporting Police by removing their free housing after saying you’d keep it. “That’s our government” when asked about publicly and arrogantly causing the demise of Legal Aid NT. “That’s our government” when asked about being forced to sack a Police Commissioner, who was very dodgy, due to public pressure. “That’s our government” when asked about nepotism and jobs for mates you respond by calling it “nonsense gibberish”. “That’s our government” when asked about explaining any dodgy or hypocritical decision, goes on the attack and doesn’t answer the question properly. “That’s our government” when asked about why your Government is blatantly corrupt in places and is clearly falling apart and it’s not even 12 months in. “That’s our government” when asked about why you haven’t tried to recoup any of the $60 Million from the abused system of IEPS.
“That’s our government” says the Attorney General, for now.
~ps: ‘Ms Finocchiaro reiterated a previous response from Ms Boothby that she was permitted to appoint Ms Voumard under existing legislation and that “an entirely fresh set of eyes” was needed at the top of Legal Aid NT, following what she said was “unsustainable underfunding” for years.’
~We know a new political Party which would Change For Better that legislation you quote, to prevent this kind of abuse of office from happening over and over again.
~The “fresh set of eyes”, coincidentally from our cabinet’s family law firm, would have nothing to do with the underfunding one would imagine. That would be a Government decision, one that could change even if you employed the person the panel recommended.
~That’s a straw man argument, LiaR.
~This comment also shows, as we said previously, that AG-Dummy didn’t make that decision on her own, it came from Maley’s and the CM, ventriloquist AG-Dummy was the one trundled out front to mouth the decision.
I was so pleased when the CLP won the last election, YES FINALLY i thought… the end of nepotism Finally we will start to get the best people in the position that are needed to set the NT on the road to becoming a genuinely legitimate territory with governance that is as transparent and as responsible as any state in the country!!!! instead we are almost daily hearing about JFM’s, (JOBS FOR MATES) with total disrespect for already established processes of selection…. How Naive was I …we have just a the same car with a different coat of paint!!!
Mates looking after mates, thats the way it works in the Territory
