A parliamentary report into the Fyles Government’s Local Decision Making program contained “opinions, perspectives and interpretations of history, policy and practice” that were never presented to the actual inquiry, a committee member and independent MLA wrote in a dissenting report, that accused the government of manipulating the inquiry for political purposes.
The Public Accounts Committee’s report detailed profound fundamental failings with the LDM framework, including a lack of understanding from Aboriginal people about what the Local Decision Making policy actually means, uncertainty about which services could be transitioned to community control, who they can be transitioned to and how, as well as the revelation that government agencies have essentially ignored the policy for years.

Typical of Fyles government. Great to talk it up but delivery is non-existent.
