Judge Alan Woodcock has committed Keith Kerinauia to stand trial for murder over the stabbing death of bottleshop worker Declan Laverty in Darwin in March.

In Darwin Local Court on Wednesday, Judge Woodcock ruled the evidence against Mr Kerinauia was sufficient to take the case to trial in the Supreme Court, with the accused to remain in custody.
