Treasurer and Infrastructure Minister Eva Lawler erupted in Parliament when asked to verify her claims earlier in the week that nobody in the Labor caucus is currently under investigation by the ICAC, which she said is a fact because she asked her colleagues “in passing in the lobby” and nobody said anything.
However, it is widely known the Territory Labor Government is currently the subject of a major investigation by the Office of the ICAC for allegedly stealing more than $40,000 of public money to fund flights to remote communities during the 2020 general election against policies meant to protect the misuse of public funds on party political campaigning.
