  1. Did ICAC need to be disbanded before a particular complaint against a particular Politician got reviewed?

Like whats the rush? We have had several years of dysfunction without one prosecution!

  2. The Government needs to [insert here].
    The Government must [insert here].
The Government hasn’t talked to [insert here].
The Government has ignored [insert here].
    The Government should [insert here].
    The Government should [insert here].

Empty and Meaningless. Waste of time and oxygen.

“The current system is just not working,” said William Partlett, a law professor and senior fellow with the Centre for Public Integrity, on ABC Radio Darwin.

    We couldn’t agree more, William.

And this article is a textbook, picture perfect example of why that is the case.

However, we’re not talking about the ‘Integrity System’.

We’re talking about the NT Political System.

Look at the people in this article for example. All saying the right things, using the right vocabulary, showing the right amount of consternation and righteous indignation, from authority figures people normally listen to.

Can you guess how much of a f**k LiaR and her Crappy Littleminded Party gives for all your worried handwringing and furrowed brows at her latest deliberately dysfunctional disaster in waiting?

    Exactly. Zero.

    Why can she do that?

Not: why is she doing that…..but: why can she?

Because she has a huge Parliamentary majority.

Why does she have a huge Parliamentary majority?

Her CLPALP Alliance Partners’ election cock-up aside, it is because the current voting system is set up to ensure this.

For the next 3 years. At least.

All these articles and radio interviews and public comments and private comments and tabled answers in Parliament mean absolutely nothing to her.

And if it was Selena Stays Silent in the hot seat doing this – let’s not forget the ALP loved Greg Shamahan in there stopping corruption as much as the CLP did, they voted for it too – then she would be doing very similar things and ignoring all the same kinds of people.

If we don’t Change the System on which this Pantomime is built, then we will continue to have this shitshow on repeat, the same way it’s been on repeat for the last 40 years or so.

Has anyone heard anything from either of the CLPALP Alliance Partners on changing the voting system so that there are more local voices, an increasingly diverse group of people all vying for space instead of this Big Party Control every 4 years?

    Nope. And you never will.

Is there anyone out there who is advocating for such a Change, For Better representation and therefore Better, more informed decision making?

Sure is: Change For Better Party.

A new political animal that wants to upend the current NT Political System and Change it into something Better.

NTIndependent won’t report on it for reasons as yet unknown but if you want to join the movement and the Party and start the process of Change, then look them up online and pump in your details or email them.

They are the only group who are trying to highlight the growing threat of CLPALP Alliance political control and how to fight it.

Continually filling out the template sentences at the start of this comment for every murky manoeuvre from members of the Alliance will get your voice and face maybe in the media but it won’t change anything really.

Smaller political parties, Independent MLAs, grassroots organisations and Change For Better Party all working together under a shared ideological umbrella Party is the only way to slay the beast.

    Strength in numbers.

    Remember: the Game Is Rigged.

Atomised and isolated from collaborative power is the best thing to be if you don’t want real Change, For Better integrity systems.

We have to work together and join this new progressive movement for Change.

What you are seeing now is a System with enormous power guaranteed to the winner.

What we want to see is a more equitable distribution of political power in the chamber. We want lots more smaller winners.

We’re only going to get that if we Change the system to a Better one.

Neither of the CLPALP Alliance are going to advocate for that because it divests them of political sway when they get their dirty corrupt hands on it, as they have shown time and time again over the years.

So, instead of trotting out the same old tired demands on [insert political party in power here], rather, what we have to start saying is: to hell with you, we are going to Change the system For Better.

Our household finds it hard to understand why this fine publication amongst others are choosing not to report on this new political idea.

To not support the new team with an article or at least an Opinion piece.

Will CFB really upset the whole media landscape once it gains traction?

    We hope so.

So who wants to be a Change Agent then, anyone interested?

Or are you all happy being forever force fed by Finocchiaro?

  3. Hilarious, you obviously don’t know anything about the centre of public integrity, it is a bunch of lawyers claiming to be a charity poking its nose into politics.
