A $1 million feasibility study into a potential “clean hydrogen market” in Darwin will be funded by the Federal Government through a group comprised of INPEX, Santos, Xodus and Australia’s national science agency CSIRO, the NT Government said, but critics argue it’s “greenwashing” the larger gas projects at Middle Arm.

The 18-month research project comes as the Fyles Government plans to establish a carbon capture and storage common-user hub at Middle Arm, a project in which Santos, INPEX, and CSIRO are also involved.
