This absolutely disgusts me, having come through senior roles in ICT, and being personally impacted by the incompetence of this Acacia patient record management system. This government continues with the abuse by championing the individual(s) that we feel have driven repeated failure, toxic workplace and sadly death(s).
Words really can not represent the seriousness of the toxicity culture that this project continues to present.
There are victims and the side shuffling thumbs their noses at those impacted.
We can not forget this misadventure, for some this remains life long trauma.
Absolutely Correct!
The crappy, inhouse developed medical systems PCIS, CARESYS and CCIS have been cumbersome and not fit for purpose! Meanwhile evryother hospital in the country went and purchased real working off the shelf medical systems!
The crappy medical systems lead to crappy medical outcomes! Doctors are telling me they need 7 different screens open to get a medical picture of the patient in front of them!
All Territorians are suffering due to this incompetence while fat cats bank real money!
Wait Til the Media make the connection between the senior manager is managing the failed ACACIA project now and the person who implemnted the crappy not fit for purpose current Medical Systems that have been causing all sorts of medical drama for Territorians for decades! I ll give you a hint: Lets keep this in the family!
This Substandardness is very annoying, Is it any wonder the Northern Territory is seen to be a failed jurisdiction. SUPERFICIALITY and excessive secrecy will not fix these problems.
If the position of Ec02 – Executive Contract Level 2 – is true for the person concerned then these positions are exactly what the general public should have sight of the details. It’s not the AO3,4 or 5 positions that use up exorbitant amounts of taxpayer money – they are the front line employees that actually face the public day in day out. It’s the Executive Contract positions that blow the departmental budgets, with 12% superannuation on top presumably.
As Lucio said, the clear lack of answers, of zero transparency is what perpetuates the reality of the NT as a failed jurisdiction in the eyes of residents and Australians across the country. The CLP said they’d clean up Labor’s 8-years of nothing, but we are yet to see a scrap of difference between the two.
