An airport worker on Groote Eylandt was injured and sent to hospital after two kids allegedly stole her vehicle while she was closing the airport for the day.

Police said they received a report that a 33-year-old Alyangula resident, who works at the airport, had her car stolen around 4:40pm by two youths while she was locking the gate.
