NT Police are investigating after a series of break-ins in the Nhulunbuy area on Wednesday night, that saw two schools, government offices, the supermarket and private homes broken into.
Police said the properties were targeted between midnight and 5am and are asking for anyone who saw suspicious activity to come forward.
“These incidents are very disappointing, especially given the heightened positive profile Nhulunbuy has at the moment around the successful NASA launches,” said Senior Sergeant Mick Fields.
“We’re asking if anyone saw suspicious activity last night, if they have CCTV or other information, to contact police on 131 444, Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or attend the police station in person. Please quote reference 10059680.”
