The Fyles Government has declared 10 new “high risk areas” in the Darwin northern suburbs where police will be permitted to use handheld weapon detectors on people suspected to be carrying knives and other weapons.
The government is expected to pass the new laws today on urgency in Parliament, which it claims will keep the community safe from ongoing crime.
Phew, problem solved.
Come out of your houses, everybody, the politicians have saved us all.
The police should have the right to check for weapons wherever and whenever they detain someone. Fyles and her cronies are too beholden to the activist crowd. She is not fit for the job!
Would the Braitling/Barkly biffo at the Tennant Creek Show come under the definition of anti-social behaviour?
Or, for that matter, the one a while back when Braitling copped a spray from the now-member for Daly?
Wouldn’t it be a shame if they all got excluded from high risk areas.
I think a bunch of 5 year olds could come up with a better policy
