The Finocchiaro Government has awarded a $360,000 contract to create a Marrara sports precinct master plan aimed partly at infrastructure spending, in the same week Territory Treasurer Bill Yan warned that the previous Labor Government had wasted money on pet projects and throwing money at the “latest, greatest shiny thing”.
A press release issued Tuesday morning quoted Department of People, Sport and Culture Department chief executive Samantha Livesley stating national consultancy company Hames Sharley was given the $361,107 contact for the plan so the precinct could meet “current and future community needs” by “improving the infrastructure to support more engagement with sport and recreation activities”.

I think that is now 4 sports master plans by various governments in the last 11 years.
