A girl was threatened with a knife by one of three men who broke into her house in Alice Springs while she was alone, with police asking for witnesses but have not provided a description of the men who are still on the run.
NT government crime marketing manager Sita Bacher said in a statement that at about 7:45pm Wednesday three men broke into a house in Nelson Terrace, Araluen, one armed with a knife.
Mr Bacher did not give the age of the girl, describing her only as a “female youth”, and she was alone at home at the time.
The man threatened the girl with a knife while all the men demanded money. They left soon after with unspecified items they stole, and ran in the direction of Zeil St, police said.
For unexplained reasons police did not give a description of the men but wanted to “reassure the public” the matter was “being investigated thoroughly”.
They are asking anyone who saw the men or who have CCTV or dash cam footage to call them on 131 444 or report to in anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Mmmm, no description of those concerned, how can the public help if they have no description? Let me guess what the demographic was.
