Fortescue has given up its spot at the proposed Middle Arm industrial development precinct, a decision which follows the February departure of former chief minister Michael Gunner from the company just five months after being named Fortescue Future Industries director of business development for Australia and New Zealand.
The company was one of five proposed tenants the Northern Territory Government had issued ‘not to deal’ commitments with over specific parcels of land at the proposed 1,500ha precinct. The latest news follows the announcement by another prospective tenant, Tamoboran Resources, that it raised less the half the money it was seeking in its recent New York Stock exchange initial public offering.
