The Territory’s former top traffic cop will contest a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice relating to a traffic matter.
In a statement released on Tuesday afternoon NT Police said they had issued a notice to appear to a 56-year-old man on a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to a traffic incident on May 18.
“Unfortunately, there are a few mis-truths about my resignation and an internal investigation. Naturally, when people don’t know the truth they make assumptions and from there, rumours circulate and grow,” Mr Shean said at the time.
