Former Territory local government minister Elliot McAdam and former Barkly Regional Council employee Sharon Lake have been elected to the council in the Patta ward by-election.

NT Electoral Commissioner Ian Loganathan said in a statement that under the proportional representation voting system the quota of votes required for each candidate was 223, and Mr McAdam exceeded the quota on first preference votes with 226 votes.
