My father played in the 1948-50 VFL Melbourne team coached by Norm Smith (who cared for 10 year old Ron Barrassi) playing & partying with the old greats who I used to meet. Best player received a carton of Heinz Baked Beans, no money paid like today. He said Darwin does not have the population to create & fund a corporatised AFL team & the NT is broke. Sounds like election propaganda rather than common sense.
It’s great to dream at times. Waft off on a fantasy trip and anything is possible. Come back to reality and things are not as rosy or even possible, in this case not possible. Stop wasting time dreaming and fix some of the current issues.
