The story is not about a group of people that respond to a difficult job in their downtime in a way offensive to some. The story is about the rubbish unlawful people that require the services and skills of the TRG to stop them attacking the lawful people of our community and their property, and how the TRG and general police force keep turning up to save us.
I can’t think of any group I’d rather have between me and rampaging gang of lawless black (or white or brindle) thugs that have no morals, and less respect for any race or community.
The sins of the mob are at an entirely different level that might actually kill people, compared to a few foot soldiers privately letting off steam after dealing with the scum of our community – day in and day out.
The news should be about all of the good protective work done by these officers rather than singling out non-physical and trivial issues.
Alice Springs needs these people on the wall and the NT wants these people on the wall. What we don’t want is vicious gangs of street thugs being treated with kid gloves for fear of appearing racist.
The situation is far past such nonsense.

Yep the police deal with the scum every day and we all know,( with the exception of the Labor party and the Police high command), who the scum are.
I can’t help but wonder why the person or persons who provided the copies of these awards to Zach Rolfe, waited so long? If they found these awards truly offensive, why not provide to the media or ICAC themselves? Possibly it’s a more underhanded opportunity to grind their own axe so to speak? Sick and tired of the denegration of these men and women who at the drop of a hat, deploy all over the Territory, no matter that they miss out on their own family occasions etc. And before people blah blah that they are paid to do it, you try it. Tell your kids you’ll miss birthdays, school awards nights, tell your wife you won’t be there for anniversaries, you get the picture?
People wonder why NTPol is losing members left right and centre. Not just because of the pressure with in, but from the outside too.
