The Environment Centre NT is seeking a Federal Court judicial review of federal Environment Minister Murray Watt’s decision not to assess Top End Pastoral Company’s plans to clear almost 3,000ha at Claravale Station, the organisation said.
Centre executive director Dr Kirsty Howey said her organisation and Environmental Justice Australia are contesting Mr Watt’s February decision not to assess the company’s plans to clear 2,722ha of savanna at Claravale Station and Farm, near the Daly River north of Katherine.
