A 27-year-old Fannie Bay man is facing multiple drugs and weapons charges after police raided his home and vehicle, allegedly uncovering cocaine, MDMA, prohibited weapons and nearly $140,000 in cash.

Police said the search warrant was executed last Thursday, but did not make the public aware of the raid until Tuesday, which they said turned up 100 grams of MDMA, 20 grams of cocaine, steroids, prohibited weapons and $138,600 in cash.

The 27-year-old is facing multiple drug supply and possession charges, as well as possessing a prohibited weapon and possessing tainted property.

Police did not say what led them to the man.

He will remain in custody until appearing in Darwin Local Court on October 19.
