A person has died in a single vehicle crash near Douglas Daly, Northern Territory Police has said.

Territory Duty Superintendent James Gray-Spence said in a statement officers from Pine Creek were called to the scene shortly before 5am and Jungawa Rd remained closed at 9.45am.

“It is believed the person was the sole occupant of the vehicle,” he said.
