  1. Council should not get involved in politics. Just imagine if they did this for a normal election!

    • VOTE Every Single one of them out of office!
City of Darwin is just a bank account of ratepayers money used for Junkets!

The council members have all forgotten what they are supposed to focus on!
VOTE Every Single one of them out of office!

  2. A few little people wanting to be big. Get back to basics and do the job you were all elected to do.

  3. Treating people differently and giving people special privileges because of their race is racist.

The Voice is demonstrably and by definition, racist.

We all want the best for people, including Aboriginal people. But it is just wrong to give people special rights and privileges based on who their parents were.

  4. Totally inappropriate, the City of Darwin has been politicised with LM Kon Vatskalis being a former NTG ALP Lands Minister; now LGNT CEO Sean Holden is beholden to whatever the CoD request rather than maintaining independence?

CoD should be a grassroots, local community consultation group rather it is top down self-interested expensive networked political organisation. Rate payers money is designed for R,R,R. (Roads, rates, rubbish) not social causes. Vote No or Yes as an independent private sovereign citizen.

  5. There are two typos in this story:

“The people of Darwin what the council to do council things’ – should be ‘want’.

yes confutes on council fences, – should be corflutes.

BTW…Owen Pike’s satire is very clever.

DCC should maintain neutrality on the issue.
