If the bottle shops don’t contribute to the cost of PALI’s perhaps the floor price should be looked at to fund the positions instead of being a bonus profit for the large liquor retailers.
Spot on Phil. Effectively, the tax payer is funding PALI’s for doing the job of security guards on bottle shops while also paying security guards for doing the job of coppers with regard to anti-social incidents.
The cost of PALIs should be too the grog outlets, not the taxpayer. The government is in the hands of the large liquor outlets, bad luck taxpayer.
